Sometimes it seems as if someone else is writing your own book. It's as if they are choosing what you, the main character, are like. Sometimes, we get caught up in the perspective of the main character, and we forget that we are also the author. We determine what our main character is like. Whatever we want them to be, it's up to us to write it. We may not be able to turn back and change what we wrote if we do not like who they are and what they stand for. However, perhaps we can write something different.

Looking at your life as a book that you’re writing as the author and the main character helps you to take a step back and observe the big picture. Everyone we encounter is trying to write their own book and make it worthwhile to read. If we are lucky, we may be included in other people's books. Whether this is a main character or just a character that appears briefly on a page. As much as possible, we should make a positive impact on other people in life and in their books.

Everyone's book is divided into chapters. I currently have four chapters in mine.

Chapter 1 "The Beginning" This chapter is about my childhood and the role that my parents played in my development. An important chapter in our lives that shapes who we are to the best and to the worst. I would consider this to be a chapter that is worth revisiting and observing since it provides a lot of insight into who our main character is.

Chapter 2 “Who am I?" This chapter describes my struggles as a teenager and my difficulties in discovering my identity.

Chapter 3 “Learning from my mistakes” is an influential part of my book. It has been here that I have discovered who I am and what makes me happy. Furthermore, the chapter taught me that some characters are only intended for a few chapters and not for the entire book.

Chapter 4 “Finding my way” is the current chapter that I am still writing.

There are times in our lives when we struggle through rough times. It may seem that it is the end of the world or the end of the book, but it is not. It is only the end of that chapter. As well, characters appear and disappear throughout our book; sometimes we expect them to appear in the following chapters, but they do not appear as expected. That is what makes a compelling story: you think life is going one way, and then it throws you for a loop and you find yourself in a totally different situation. We also have some chapters that are more difficult than others. However, those chapters are where we grow the most, and we had to work through them in order to get to the next chapter.

My preference is to read a book whose protagonist has been faced with a lot of adversity, has messed up a lot, but has also learned from their mistakes and has grown into this amazing individual as opposed to someone who has never been faced with adversity. As authors, we are always writing our own stories. We will never be able to go back and change what we wrote, but we can learn from it and make our next chapter a better one.

As the author of your book, you should make your life into the best story ever written. Do not waste your life. You are in charge of the kind of person you wish to be and the passions you wish to follow. All you need to do is put pen to paper and get started.
